Hi there! My name is Sanna. I’m currently a PhD candidate at Stanford in the Communication Department, where I study how the digital economy has affected the spaces in which we live and work.
Some background— I’m originally from Orange County, California. I have a B.S. with Honors in Science, Technology, & Society from Stanford and an M.S. in Information & Computer Science from the Informatics Department at UC Irvine. Over the years, I’ve worked to improve the user experience at Pinterest, Amazon, and Facebook. I’ve also worked as a Google Policy Fellow at the Center for Democracy and Technology.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, karaoke, and analyzing social interaction to death. Above is a picture of me with a coconut.
